First of all we remember the results of the 2013 harvest which was a triumph of aromas and colors, sugars and yields. Perfect! From the very first processing the red wines stood out for their intense colors, sweet tannins, density and high alcohol.
Today, 9 years later, we describe a result of that harvest, the Raboso Doc Piave 2013, which is just released. The structure, already perceived at the time of the grape harvest, allowed the wine to remain in exhausted tonneau for 7 years.
When tasting it, its beautiful ruby color immediately surprises. The scent is vinous. Ripe red fruit is perceived. The scent of wood is not intrusive. The perception of alcohol is not long in coming. When tasted, the typicality of the autochthonous is respected: acidity, tannins and flavor are elegant and balanced. The tannin is sweet thanks to the long maturation in old barriques. Notes of ripe blackberry and ripe cherry are perceived wrapped in an alcohol content that gives a sensation of sweet warmth in the mouth. Long and persistent. It is a wine destined for longevity. Its evolution will give us further nuances.
