"VINO IN VILLA": RED WINES THE GUESTS OF THE PROSECCO CONSORTIUM

San Salvatore castle in Susegana (Treviso) was the picturesque setting for "Vino in Villa", an exceptional event, now in its 11th year, promoted by the Prosecco Consortium of Conegliano and Valdobbiadene. The event was held in mid-May and the Moletto Winery was present as part of the Consortium of wines from the Piave area. This consortium was, in fact, one of the organizations hosted by "Vino in Villa" where it presented a selection of prime red wines. The Moletto Raboso  2003 excited significant interest among visitors, especially those from abroad. What intrigued them was the tradition and history behind the origins of the Raboso variety, one of the authentic treasures of the Piave area that continues to gain standing among quality wines. Raboso Moletto 2003 won over visitors thanks to its magnificent garnet-hued ruby-red color, elegant tannicity and pleasant, acidic quality in perfect balance with each other, rounded off by a sweetness thanks to its significant alcohol level. This wine was much-praised by those from abroad, especially Germans and Austrians, who thronged to the magnificent rooms of the San Salvatore castle. And, following their visit, many of them decided to hop over to the Moletto Winery where they stocked up on this and other wines.
