APPLE CAKE (1)

Ingredients: 200 g all purpose flour, 180 g margarine, 180 g sugar, 3 egg yolks, 3 egg whites beaten stiff, juice and grated peel of 1 lemon, pinch of salt, 1 envelope baking powder, 4 apples.
To prepare: Beat the yolks with the sugar, add the salt and fold in the beaten egg whites, flour, margarine, lemon juice and peel and the baking powder. Spread in a cake pan and press in the apples after having cut them into thin slices. Bake at 180°C for approx. 45 min.
