THE BEST WINE, 87 points RABOSO Piave 2004
Sensations: A red wine with mineral wrap that is truly exceptional. A viscosity and extractive concentration that marks superior, masterful, wine-making rigor and enological method. Of adequate alcoholic proof to powerfully support such an exceptional amount. Good sharp enological method, powerfully spicy, flaming mint, saffron and vanilla against the sumptuous underlying body. The taste is so persuasive and with the harmonious smoothness of glycerin to round out, enwrap and cover. A wine of exceptional expressive lingering.
3 clusters RABOSO 2004: Garnet red. Spicy, balsamic aroma framing jammy blackberry, graphite, cocoa and tobacco. Smooth and full-bodied, well-balanced and refined. Echo of almonds. 4 years in barrique.

Satisfactory (79) RABOSO 2003 Doc Piave
Mature, delicately oxisative nose, red berries, apples and some pomegranate. Astringent and oaky on the palate, tart, slightly oxidative fruit, loads of sandy and dusty tannins, brittle, noticeable alcohol, some cool herbs and spices, sooty notes, tart, astringent notes on an otherwise attractive finish. (29.10.2008) - Wein-Plus.com
3 clusters Piave RABOSO 2001: Offers a bouquet of ripe blackberry and sour cherry, followed by quinine and licorice. On the palate, it offers acidity and tannins in the forefront, but which nonetheless allow the full fruity aftertaste to come through, thanks to the balance created by warmth and smoothness. 42 months in used barriques.

3 clusters RABOSO Piave 2000: Hints of ripe blackberry and sour black cherry, leather, licorice, humus and chinaroot. In the mouth, the acidity typical of the vine species and the decisive-yet-compact tannins erupt, but without covering the fruity aftertaste.
