Freshly released, here is a summary of how the 2025 guides talk about Moletto wines.
LUCA MARONI in his guide Yearbook of the Best Italian Wines describes “Moletto’s proposal as being of high quality. The whites reveal with the Presa 235 Tai 2023 champion pulp, with the Chardonnay Il Deputato 2023 a fabulous softness on the palate, with the Pinot Grigio Doc Venezia 2023 a combination of softness-clarity of vivid aromatic vigor. Among the reds, the Franconia 2021 stands out, powerful, enveloping, fragrant and turgid with its spicy blackcurrant. Finally, the olfactory oenological clarity of the three Proseccos is impeccable, with in particular the Prosecco Treviso Brut of exemplary residual oxidative integrity and aromatic cleanliness from the oenology of pure transformation. The same technique that makes the great first fruit of the best wine, Sauvignon Il Sindaco 2023, of such vivid and crystalline varietal expressive clarity. Congratulations.“
BIBENDA 2025 curated by the Italian Sommelier Foundation, underlines how Moletto production is the result of a close-knit team – as only a family can be -, driven by passion and resourcefulness while respecting the territory and its roots. The guide awards 4 bunches to the “complex and kaleidoscopic” Colmello Rosso 2013 and 3 bunches respectively to the structured and warm, full-bodied Franconia 2021, to the floral and pulpy Presa 235 Tai 2023, to the pleasantly fruity, fresh and savoury Prosecco Doc Treviso Brut, to the graceful, tasty and soft Prosecco Doc Treviso Extra Dry, and to the delicate, pleasant and clean Prosecco Treviso Rosè Millesimato Extra Dry 2022.
VINETIA, the AIS Veneto guide awards 3 Rosoni to Colmello Rosso 2013 which it describes as “Bright ruby with garnet edge. Nose of sweet spice, sponge cake soaked in morello cherries in alcohol, blackberry and cherry jam, lavender, blood orange juice, umami note. Sip of good freshness, elegant, with smooth tannins, which gives a peppery finish.”
3 Rosoni also to Franconia 2021 with an intense olfactory impact, juicy sip, with tannins present with elegance and discretion; to Presa 235 Tai 2023 which flows elegantly and structured on the palate; to Contessa Elena 2021 which defines verticality in the aromas: acacia flower and honey, Golden apple, grapefruit, helichrysum, a breath of saltiness. And whose tasting is easy for the fine synergy between freshness, flavor and softness. The 3 Rosoni of Prosecco Doc Treviso Brut conclude with a round sip, and whose delicate freshness is tempered in a long final citrus touch with savory nuances and Prosecco Doc Treviso Extra Dry of which it underlines the creamy perlage that softly envelops the palate, the fresh and savory break makes the sip persistent.
